The Online Coffee Shop Game Review
October 31st, 2009 by keen bean
I have received a bunch of inquiries about the article I wrote on the online coffee shop game. I was kind of surprised to see that there was so much interest. Not because the game was not well made, or fun for that matter. This was only because it did not seem to me to be the typical gamers choice. But, maybe that is exactly why the interest exists.
So, to reiterate my initial review, the graphics are cute, and the overall visual is appealing. The only thing that I had wished for to be different was the ability to make certain additional decisions regarding the shop itself. Such as, being able to become a fairtrade coffee supplier. To me, details can inject a great deal of character and personalize the experience. In sum, the game itself is a good source of fun.
I Am Now Certain That My Coffee is the Best
October 30th, 2009 by keen bean
Last week I attended a free coffee tasting event for the press, and had a wonderful time. However, it may come as a surprise that my fond experience is not due to the coffee selections. Quite the contrary, the new array of fancy flavours and glammed up presentations did not win me over. Instead, I was turned off by the whole thing.
So you may be asking why was I happy to have gone at all. Simply put, because it reminded me how great the Puro coffee I drink religiously is right down to the last drop. I mean, I was polite at the event, I grinned, I bared it. But, my mind was elsewhere and I was wishing that I was some place else too. Still, I must admit they did give me a mighty adorable coffee gift to take home, which will be very gladly recycled to a person that is not near or dear to me.
I Have an Organic Coffee Winner
October 29th, 2009 by keen bean
There are so many types of ground coffee available that I have at times been overwhelmed. Once I was turned on to organic coffee I was happy to have somewhat narrowed the scope. Decisions have never been my strong point, and the fewer the better.
This of course does not imply that I will settle for second rate, or not conduct a thorough search. No indeed, I just am pleased when the trials are completed and I have a winner. It is because I put so much effort, time and thought into my selections that I deplore undergoing them when required. Anyway, I digress, I am elated to have honed in on one specific organic coffee that is now declared as my one and only. As usual the result was well worth it all.
My Favourite Coffee is Being Sold Online
October 28th, 2009 by keen bean
Considering how long I have been an internet junkie, I wonder why it took me so long to think to buy coffee online. Actually, I do not even really like to think too hard about it, because for so long fair trade coffee could have been mine with the click of a button. Because this then leads me to dwell on the fact that perhaps there are several other things I could receive directly.
Thankfully, I do know about my favourite coffee being sold online, and I will squander no more time. They have made it irresistibly easy to find exactly what I want and to place my order in seconds. I guess what this means is that I will have even more time to dedicate to my internet addiction. Look out keyboard here I come.
On the Topic of Gourmet Coffee
October 27th, 2009 by keen bean
While I do continuous research on both coffee and tea, I must admit to being partial to the topic of gourmet coffee. So, to balance things out, I am going to concentrate more on the beauty and benefits of the beloved world of tea. To begin with I am going to treat myself and a couple of close friends to a good old traditional high tea service. That is certain to get me back to being properly focused.
As a little girl, I absolutely adored going to high tea. For years, the majority of my Christmas gifts involved tea sets and tea parties. There were playfully painted tea pots, and others of exquisite detail. Then there were the different cups and saucers to match, or if feeling a tad bohemian mix and match them. So, I am definitely looking forward to being reunited with that feeling of elegance, and pampering, that always rushes back to me when indulging in high tea.
Remarkable Results from Fairtrade Coffee
October 26th, 2009 by keen bean
While exploring the world of coffee beans, I have come across quite a bit of valuable, and sometimes simply entertaining information. I have gained a good understanding of what fairtrade coffee is, and the important role that it plays in the worlds economy. Then, of equal importance, the impact it makes on the smaller farmers who are involved in the program.
When you really take a second to think about it, the results are in fact remarkable on all accounts. In this world of hustle and bustle, and self indulgence, it is awesome to know that there is something bigger than you or me taking place; and to participate, it takes virtually no effort on our behalf. Just buy fairtrade coffee.
Even Makes My Mouth Water
October 25th, 2009 by keen bean
So, as I previously noted, thanks to the time I save by buying my fair trade coffee online, I am trying some new recipes involving coffee. The first thing that came to my mind when I started to collect the recipes is to include absolutely anything that tastes great with coffee. And I must say I was ultra pleased with the first recipe I made.
I chose to kick start my new hobby with a splendid coffee cake recipe. Now, I should note that I have always been oddly partial to recipes that include grandma, aunt or mom in the title. Sure, I am probably a sucker for the imagery, but in my defense they usually turn out well. Anyway, I found one called Aunt Annes Coffee Cake and it gets covered with a streusel topping and baked. Those words are like music to my ears, and in fact even make my mouth water. So, in response to all of this, I would like to officially thank my coffee supplier for starting up sales online.
Great Recipes Involving Coffee
October 24th, 2009 by keen bean
After locating my favourite fairtrade coffee supplier online, I found that I had a bit of extra time on my hands. So with the time I save by purchasing my java from an online coffee shop I have decided to make use of those valuable minutes. I am committed to learning a few great recipes involving coffee.
Now, I am not putting any limitations on the recipes I select, just that they involve coffee. So, whether the ingredients include coffee, or the completed delicacy is best enjoyed with coffee, does not matter. However, I have no idea of how I will ever limit my search for these additions to my cooking repertoire, because there are thousands available in no time flat. But do not take that as a complaint, because I am definitely up for the tasty challenge.
Why Resist Free Coffee
October 23rd, 2009 by keen bean
I just received a voucher for free coffee at a nearby pastry shop, and this got me a wondering. I ponder how often a company offers such a coffee gift, and how many people follow up on the offer. Now, I know I am one of those people who will make an attempt to go and claim my free treat, especially when it involves free coffee. Still, I am curious about whether I am an exception or not.
I mean sure, the natural inclination is to believe that the people respond to free items, or stores would not bother to go through the process. All I can do, for my best interest, is to hope that everyone else does go for their gift, so the offers keep a coming. Still, I must also secretly wish that the little pastry shop does not get an barrage of people, because they may find they took to big of a loss and never make the offer again. Just a little food for thought.

Coffee is one hot topic, and it encompasses a plethora of material. For example, organic coffee, ground coffee, free coffee, Fairtrade coffee, coffee machines, coffee recipes. coffee biofuel. The list goes on and on, and one can become entranced in the various sources of information and opinions that are freely shared.
Being a coffee lover, it is very exciting to me to be able to go online and read up on new products, or excellent promotions. Mostly, I enjoy being able to read about coffee matters that I myself am not well versed. To have so much information and knowledge readily available is extremely pleasing. However, I must admit, sometimes this interest of mine gets a bit carried away. But how fortunate we are in this day and age to be able to access what we please, when we please. And for me that is learning about the many facets of coffee.
