One example of this is the claim that espresso offers the drinker more caffeine than regular brewed coffee. This is nothing more than a myth, and as thus the truth should be established for those interested in it.
In reality, the Arabica beans that espresso comes from has a smaller amount of caffeine than Robusta beans. Plus, the brewing process for espresso last 30 seconds and as such there is less caffeine extracted than in the 5 minute drip coffee practice. However, it is true that the Arabica beans do have a richer taste than the less expensive Robusta bean. Now you know the truth, and can happily continue to buy fair trade coffee online with the knowledge to support your choice in product.
