The Legend of the Coffee Bean

Legend has it that sometime after the revelation of the powerful impact of coffee beans, monks began to rely upon it. Allegedly, it all began with monks on the Arabian Peninsula. They began to use coffee to endure the long hours of prayer. It is said that the effect was so successful that the monks distributed coffee to their other monasteries throughout the world.

As is to be expected, there are many such tales circulating. It is unlikely that we will ever know the true exact origin, or course that coffee took to reach the mass popularity that it experiences today. No matter what the path that led us to this moment in time, the existence of fairtrade coffee is a feature we wholly treasure.
