Only Ground Coffee Will Do

On a recent camping trip I was only able to get my hands on instant coffee. With that first sip, immediately I felt a tinge of disappointment. Every fibre of my being was yelling out, no, no, no. I was missing my old pal ground coffee. Longing for its mouth-watering scent, and distinguishable taste. The canned beans did not bother me, nor did the burnt sausages. It was just the freeze-dried coffee that sank my spirits.

Being city folk, it was not long until I had returned to my comfortable townhouse, and much-loved organic coffee. That first cup transcended words, and the second was just as delightful to my senses. Now I know I am not limited by nearly inedible food, or even the cramped confines of a tent. But, I do draw the line at instant coffee.
