Tandem Uses for Coffee Grounds
September 18th, 2009 by keen bean
Many people who think to buy organic coffee are the same people who are conscious of recycling. Hence, it is wonderful to be able to share the following ideas for the use of ground coffee after it has been enjoyed in your cup. The wet grounds can be sprinkled around plants prior to a rain or watering of the plants. This allows for a slow release of nitrogen. Or, if you dilute the grounds with water you create a liquid fertilizer that is both mild and fast acting.
No matter which of these you decide upon, you will be extending the life of the grounds and enhancing the life of your garden. It is nice to know that coffee grounds can provide for multiple tandem uses. Especially, since every little bit helps.
