There May Be Coffee Bean Revelations Ahead

December 21st, 2009 by keen bean

All coffee beans are undeniably not created equally. Now, whether you start with the most basic reason, flavour, or the most ethical, fairtrade coffee, you still reach the same conclusion. Anybody who enjoys coffee on a regular basis, or has had the opportunity to experience different types can attest to this fact.

Of course there are some stereotypes regarding coffee beans that exist which could ultimately be proven blatantly wrong. You know how people who endorse stereotypes like to say that there is nearly always some truth behind a stereotype, well the time of reckoning might just appear in the near future. This may be demonstrated through the introduction of coffee from lands that have never been related with the production of good coffee. Some unexpected territories may just surprise us by creating a satisfying, delicious bean, but it has yet to be proclaimed.

Fast and Easy Holiday Gift Idea

December 20th, 2009 by keen bean

No one wants to jump through hoops to get their friends and loved ones good gifts for the holidays. The simplest way to eliminate all hassle is to identify one item that will well suit everyone on your list, and can be located from one source. A fast and easy way to conduct this is to focus on something like coffee, which can be obtained through one coffee supplier. Ask anyone and they will tell you that It is an item that everybody either enjoys or shares with others, and as such an optimum selection because it will be used.

You can make things even more trouble-free by choosing to give everyone one type across the board, such as fair trade coffee. This is a great pick because you are not only supplying friends and family with gifts, but are simultaneously doing a good thing for farmers far off. And remember, you can buy fair trade coffee online, so you can finish all of your shopping while seated at home, or even work.

A Seasonal Blend Should Offer More than Just Cute Packaging

December 19th, 2009 by keen bean

During these blustery winter months, the greatest amount of coffee and tea are ingested. This well known fact is often the instigator for special gourmet coffee blends being launched as seasonal items. While the packaging is often adorable, it is rare for the coffee, which is held within, to ever fully impress.

Along with the cute polar bears skating, or exquisite snowflake images, there are also the catchy names given to the holiday creations. Sure they are sometimes thought provoking, but it never elevates the flavour status of the coffee itself. So, I offer this insight, stick to the coffee you know is good until one that is all its packaging claims it to be is proven to be accurate.

Fairtrade Launches New Highly Anticipated Products

December 18th, 2009 by keen bean

There are plenty of articles touting the amazing achievement of the Fairtrade coffee industry. Of course that is as it should be, considering the world wide love affair with coffee beans. However, as of this year there is a new addition to the Fairtrade community, that being Fairtrade beauty products. So, it looks like the expansion will gain the attention of even more consumers far and wide.

It seems as though this jump was a likely choice for the foundations lengthy list of commodities. Considering that there were over 700 Fairtrade retail and catering products available in the UK alone as of 2005, which was dramatically up from 150 in 2003, growth was expected. Then by 2006 there were over 1,500 Fairtrade retail and catering products available in the UK. It appears that there is just no stopping this powerhouse venture, and that is a good thing.

What Might Just Be the Best Way to Recycle Used Coffee Grounds

December 17th, 2009 by keen bean

Once I have indulged in my preferred organic coffee I am left contemplating which form of recycling I will engage the used grounds. Seems like each time I do a brief internet search on the different ways to make use of the used ground coffee there are at least two or three new ideas that peak my interest.

One of my favourite recommendations for recycling the grounds is to use it as a fake tanner. Actually, I like it best because while the main objective is to gain a hint of colour from the leftovers, they also do another thing well at the same time. They exfoliate the area that you cover, and all of that occurs with little effort, and no cost to you. I simply love it.

Tis the Season to Believe in the Power of the Online Coffee Shop

December 16th, 2009 by keen bean

There have been many excuses given for not making the leap to buy coffee online. Plenty of die hard shop front fans are so accustomed to their habit of making a special trip to a store, or of picking up whatever is on special at the grocery that a change seems impractical. However, the special deals that can be found this time of year at the online coffee shops might just convert more than just a few of the old fashioned coffee customers.

Now that just about every kind of coffee, including fair trade coffee is available directly via internet the options are a plenty. It is most certainly a buyers market, and a well-informed coffee buyer can find deals galore. While tis the season for children to believe in Santa, it is also the season for adults to believe in the power of online coffee shops.

A Resolution for the New Year That Makes Me Happy

December 15th, 2009 by keen bean

Since I have begun to purchase my coffee from an online fairtrade coffee supplier, I feel completely relieved. For years, I have been going out of my way to stop at a major chain in town on a pretty regular basis to buy coffee. These visits have not always been pleasant, but ironically they have consistently been pricey.

Once I started to rely upon an online coffee shop for my java, I have been able, and happy, to avoid the freestanding coffee shop chains. No more snotty barista barking my name out, or any awkwardness of being banished to the waiting area of impatient cell phone yappers. Mostly, I am thankful not to have to have spooky guys who hang out in those shops try to chat me up. In fact, it is my New Years resolution to avoid those places for the entire next year, and beyond.

So, when that package of goodies intended for others arrives at your front door, you too will be getting a little something special. I assure you that you will be pleased with the result.
